NVIDIA 收購 ARM 失敗，似乎對後者的營運造成了不小的影響。據 The Telegraph 和彭博社報導，ARM CEO Rene Haas 已透過內部備忘錄告知員工，接下來公司可能會進行幅度達 12% 至 15% 的裁員。以 ARM 目前的規模來算，這波人事變動最多可影響到 1,000 人，而這背後的目的不意外也是為了減少開支。

在確認收購無法越過監管障礙正式「流產」後，ARM 背後的 Softbank 旋即表示自己會推動這家晶片公司的上市計畫。而 NVIDIA 在拿出 12.5 億美元「分手費」的同時，仍將與 ARM 保持授權合作的關係。所幸的是，ARM 此次裁員似乎並不會涉及工程團隊，其核心競爭力看來仍會得以保留。
